□□On this Monday,our GCA students got a chance to learn about landscape architect through a course of lecture by the professor -Zhao Bing of Nanjing forestry University.This time he introduced much knowledge for us.He made a sufficient preparation.
□□I had ever been to a large landscape garden in Suzhou before, and I was filled with curiosity and shock the moment I stepped into the fascinating scenery. It was such an incredible scroll painting that I was attracted by its neat and designed order. I almost feel it like a mysterious garden in fairy tale. Therefore, I paid much attention to this lecture.
□□At first, the professor listed several photographs about the Chinese gardens. A dainty summerhouse, various forms of rockeries, clear pool with reflection, viewing stones, shipshape path road were displayed in front of your eyes immediately. I felt it a natural beauty and people in other area would not be able to copy a model from such splendid and unique spectacle. The professor said that the reason was that it has an inimitable location and suitable environment to support it creates itself and was been constructed.
□□Then ,the professor showed the most impressive part was a winding walkway behind the small entrance of the garden, while leading to the places of quietude, shows the use of contrast between big and small, straight and wandering, even light and shade. Interestingly enough, the view is changing at every step.I think it must took the designer much effort to devise and it showcases the Chinese distinct style and culture. Moreover, the things in garden are arranged orderly without mess so that gives a neat and concordant feeling.It also appeared some green plants that help form that feeling.I was enjoying a lot indeed.
□□I thought the success for such artistic view was the delicate balance between the forces of nature and man’s creations. I also admire their fantastic ideas and imagnations.It is a priceless value in our country,our own value.
□□Through the lecture, I have appreciated many remarkable things.They practiced my ability of appreciation and help me to learn more about Chinese culture .Of course, it also made me a deep impression.
